The Black Spanish heritage turkey breed is mainly kept for it's meat, egg laying abilities and as an exhibition bird, because of it's beautiful plumage. It does not grow as large as the Broad Breasted varieties, but is still a large bird. The toms weigh about 23-25 pounds and the hens about 15 pounds. They have beautiful black iridescent plumage, and are a gorgeous bird to raise.

Since we are a small hatchery, we have chosen Tuesday to be our "hatch day". Any orders we have recieved over the past week will be fullfilled on Tuesday. Please understand that if we are sold out of a certain chick, we will notify you and place you on the list for the next weeks hatch. Multiple species of chicks will ship together if at all possible (not be shipped out separate weeks).
